Conversation: family members

A dialog to ask about your family members

Let's practice with the family members vocabulary. We will study how to ask about family members, generation order and we will introduce some new words related to family: 兄弟姐妹 (xiōngdìjiěmèi), 独生子 (dúshēngzǐ) and 排行 (páiháng).

Nǐ jiā yǒu jǐ kǒu rén?
How many people are there in your family?

我家有八口人
Wǒ jiā yǒu bā kǒu rén
My family has eight people

你有兄弟姐妹吗?
Nǐ yǒu xiōngdìjiěmèi ma?
Do you have brothers and sisters?

我有五个. 两个姐姐,两个哥哥和一个弟弟.你呢?
Wǒ yǒu wǔ gè. Liǎng gè jiejie, liǎng gè gēgē hé yī gè dìdì. Nǐ ne?
I have five. Two sisters, two brothers and a younger brother. How about you?

没有.我是独生子. 你排行第几?
Méiyǒu. Wǒ shì dúshēngzǐ. Nǐ páiháng dì jǐ?
I don't have. I am an only daughter. What generation place are you?

我是老五
Wǒ shì lǎo wǔ
