Differences between 天, 号 and 日

In Chinese there are three characters that mean "day": (tiān), (hao) and (rì). The three are used in a different context.



tiān
It is used when we count days. Always without classifier.

yī tiān
one day


hao
Used to talk about calendar dates and address numbers.

day three

美国路25
Meiguo lù 25 hào
25th street America


It is generally restricted to the written language.
