Chinese chopsticks

The Chinese chopsticks and a bowl of rice, are the most common dish in China. If you visit a Chinese restaurant (even outside China) you will be invited to use the Chinese chopsticks. It is hard to use them the first time, so we recommend you to take a look to this video.



The word 筷 has the meaning of quick + bamboo, because the original Chinese chopsticks were always bamboo chopsticks. When you using this word, remember to use the classifier 双 shuāng (used with objects that comes in a pair) if needed
